Ludmilla has extensive experience as both an instructor and a researcher. She has taught math and science at Cal State University Maritime Academy, University of the Pacific, Cambridge International Lycee, St. Marys College, and Russian State Pedagogical University. She has conducted research in Astrophysics at both Lawrence Livermore National Lab and the Institute of Astronomy at the University of Cambridge. Ludmilla is a member of the American Astronomical Society, the American Physics Society, the Royal Astronomical Society (UK), and the International Astronomical Union. She has more than 60 scientific publications in international journals; has given presentations at international scientific conferences and was the leading researcher for a Maritime Physics project sponsored by International Association of Maritime Universities.
