Through a combination of planning, preparation, and good fortune, I’ve been working in CG (and particularly 3D modeling) for over 25 years. After a mid-college course correction, I found myself employed as a draftsman and enamored with the 3D world on the screen in front of me. Inspired by both Siggraph and the Detroit automotive design world, I set aside my architecture plans and plotted a new course into the creative use of CG. After about a dozen years as both an end-user and in the CG vendor world, I arrived at Pixar, where I’ve had the pleasure of modeling for the silver screen over the past 14 years.
