A veteran teacher, Mary has taught at UC Irvine; California State University, San Marcos; and University of Phoenix. She also has extensive experience in project management and market research for various companies in the Bay Area. Mary is a member of the American Historical Association, the American Marketing Association, and Women in Consulting, a non-profit affiliation of business consultants.

Mary’s honors include a postdoctoral fellowship from the Rockefeller Foundation, as part of the Privatization of Culture Project at NYU & the New School University.
