Sometimes credited as Montell after his dog, Mauchi is a creature and animation alum from Industrial Light and Magic as well as the former Animation Supervisor at The Orphanage. Trained as a technical animator, his skills set is a blend of character, effects, and procedural animation techniques.

Mauchi’s ILM credits include Peter Pan, Terminator 3, Men in Black 2 and Jurassic Park 3.  While at The Orphanage, he was the Animation Supervisor on Sin City, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and Hellboy as well as Animation Director on Disney’s Doggie Date.  As a technical animator at Manex designing and executing visual effects shots, he combined fluid simulations and intelligent characters to create the look and feel of the sentinel swarms seen in Matrix Revolutions.

A childhood q-tip accident left Mauchi mostly deaf on his left side.  He is a Gemini, does occasionally listen to the radio despite the commercials, and likes to take long walks on the beach.
