Education: BA in Ethnomusicology, University of California, Los Angeles

Timo has been teaching, composing, recording, mixing, and producing music and sound art in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Tokyo. He has done a number of studio recordings and live performances with noteworthy individuals including, Craig Harris, Disney, documentary music producer; Frank Serafini, film score and music video producer–TRON; Abhiman Kaushal, classical Indian tabla master; Kobla Ladzekpo, Ghanian master drummer; Francisco Aguabella, Latin jazz master; Gerald Wilson, Grammy award winning jazz musician and producer; Jun; Echoplex; Medicine Drum; Dubstract; Light Surgeons; and others. For four years, Timo was based in Tokyo, working to create a new electronic based music.

After spending time working and performing in Tokyo, he’s now based in San Francisco, where he teaches audio at two digital arts schools: Pyramind and Ex’pression College. Additionally, Timo instructs workshops for Ex’pression PRO and ElectronicCreatives and is a certified instructor for Ableton LIVE, Protools and Logic. Privately, he does consulting for live performance set-ups and has worked with a wide variety of musicians, DJs, sound enthusiasts, and world renown artists.

Currently, Timo has two music projects which both revolve around Ableton Live and advanced controller configurations: Lucid Mechanism, a stylistically expansive electronic band, and GravityTerminal, solo electronic music creation and live performance.
