We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team, including new course directors with solid experience in the fields of recording/sound arts, animation and visual effects, multimedia, and graphic design. Many of our teaching positions are part-time; all require a BA/BS. Ex’pression College is unlike any other arts college in California. We feature an accelerated style of learning, professional grade art and sound recording studios, 24x7 access, and dozens of faculty with significant industry experience. Ex’pression is accredited by the ACCSC and offers Bachelor degree programs in Sound Arts, Game Art & Design, Animation & Visual Effects, and Motion Graphic Design.

Job descriptions Director of Industry Relations & Career Development - Visual ArtsUnder limited direction, this Director of Industry Relations & Career Development position will interface with industry professionals, companies, and organizations to enhance Ex’pression’s profile in the industry and optimize employment opportunities for our Animation, Visual Effects, and Game Art Design graduates. A substantial network of professional connections, working knowledge of the mediums involved, and sensitivity to student, employer, staff and faculty needs is essential.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in most social and business situations; previous experience working in either the Visual Effects, Game Design or Motion Graphic Design industries; be willing to travel to trade shows, exhibitions and conferences to make and build relationships with companies and individuals in the industries; and endurance, stamina, enthusiasm to guide and counsel our students as they embark on their first steps into their industries.

Eligible candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum five (5) years of Computer Graphics related industry experience; and experience managing and directing a team of people. Prior experience in higher education is a plus, but not required. Most importantly, must be a critical, creative, thinker who has passion for the arts and wants to work in a dynamic, fun, and fast paced environment.

Financial Aid OfficerResponsibilities
Conduct financial aid interviews, including counseling students on available funding and assisting in completion of applications with required documentation. Also responsible for completion of subsequent financial aid package(s) as necessary; responsible for tracking down student progress on financial aid package to ensure completion within 3 weeks of enrollment; performs analysis on family contribution and aid index for campus-based funds and awards such funds; review campus-based funding availability on a weekly basis and must have excellent customer service skills, be detailed oriented and able to multi task.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate will have previous accounting and administrative experience.
  • 2 years experience in collections, financial counseling, or financial aid preferred.
  • BA degree in a Finance, Accounting or related field is highly desirable, or equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs preferred.

Financial Aid Receptionist Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Receptionist greets students to the Student Education Area and directs them to the appropriate Financial Aid Officer or staff member. The Financial Aid Receptionist maintains faxes, mails, and phone calls to the Financial Aid Office and assembles financial aid packets for prospective students and presents them as students are on tours.

Requirements
Attention to detail and outstanding customer service skills are required. Ideal candidate will be organized and outgoing with general office and computer skills (copying, faxing, filing, Microsoft Office). Knowledge of Campus Vue and Global a plus.

High School diploma required. Minimum two years experience in an education or office environment. Compensation DOE.
