Animation & Visual Effects graduate, Tyler Cote, recently accepted a VES Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Broadcast Mini-series for his contribution as a Digital Compositor to the HBO mini-series, The Pacific.

Genius on Hold is the story of how the Bell Telephone Company stole 39 of Walter L. Shaw’s inventions during the great depression, including the speakerphone and answering machine.

Animation & Visual Effects graduate, Roland Gauthier (Class 10), along with two colleagues, Michael Kuehn and Alex Tysowsky recently opened a full-service 3D animation and visual effects studio in Portland, Oregon.

MAXON, maker of the 3D software CINEMA 4D, featured an article on their site detailing the ways in which artists use their software. Included in the story is Ex’pression College alumnus Christopher McCard (Class 58).

Whether Jeremy and John are tracking in the 1,000 sq. ft. room using the large collection of guitars, amps, keyboards, and synthesizers, or trouble-shooting the signal flow for the latest band’s setup, one thing is certain- Studio SQ is a labor of love.
