Josh Hinden, Director of MIDI at Ex’pression College, is proud to announce the launch of his new music software business, Twisted Tools. Twisted Tools is a brand new polyphonic granular sampler / sequencer, entitled Vortex.
Faculty focus: Cheryl Leonard
Cheryl E. Leonard is a composer, performer, improviser, and instrument builder. Much of her work focuses on exploring sounds, structures, and materials from the natural world. Glass shards and pinecones, glaciers, boxspring mattresses, a flock of accordions, circular saw blades, viola, the erhu, hyenas, whales and elk… Cheryl’s music finds its raw materials just about anywhere.
Myrmyr by night
Ex’pression College is home to amazing talent and artistry. Case in point- Agnes Szelag, Course Director for Common Core. At the end of the day, after Agnes shuts down her computer and presses pause on her teaching duties, she transitions into another role with the performing groups Myrmyr and Dokuro.
