Ex’pression College | All Access

Becky Worley recently utilized the green screen at Ex’pression College to produce a compositing effect that was used in her Angry Birds story for Good Morning America.

Motion Graphics student, Beau Lewis, creates a commercial for his software client by spoofing Avatar and Eminem, the rapper.

Just another day on the green screen at Ex’pression College!

Justin Kohn (Coraline, James and the Giant Peach), along with cameraman Peter Williams (Coraline and others), brought their current project, a stop-motion film adapted from H. G. Wells War of the Worlds novel, to Ex’pression College to begin production on a trailer for the film.

For the shoot, we utilized the impressive green-screen studio at the well-known Bay Area art school Ex’pression College for the Digital Arts. They allowed access for the day, and provided us with lighting and several helping hands from the many budding motion graphics artists in their classes.

“All Access” was able to put together a short slideshow highlighting aspects of our amazing facility for those who haven’t had the experience of being here in person.

Students work with real-world Sound Arts projects that have been recorded at Ex’pression to produce innovative music videos.

I am back in Regina after a whirlwind week in San Francisco (and yes, I took the above mandatory Golden Gate Bridge shot on the trip). It was a fantastic week! I got to work with Don Wood again (the actor playing Tom Sukanen), as well as David Cramer and Stephen Pocock (actors from the bar scene we shot last year in San Francisco).
