Ex’pression College for Digital Arts
Arthur brings 20 years of game development experience to add to the curriculum at Expression. Working as a 2D/3D digital artist/animator on over 35 games has given him an inside view of how games are made and what it’s like to work for both large and small companies.
The most recent games he worked on were Freedom Fighters’56, an action game based on the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and Sims2. He enjoyed drawing in a Marvel Comic book style for the story sequence and creating environments for the 3D game levels. He also learned a lot about history while researching to make sure all the images were historically accurate.
Working on Sims2 at Electronic Arts as a 3D modeler was quite a contrast to the environments in the smaller companies. He worked for EA 11 years previously and he found it very interesting to return and witness its phenomenal growth. What one or two artists could do when he first started now can take 20-30 artists in many different capacities. He’s excited that so much more is possible now and the need for artists has grown.
