Ex’pression College for Digital Arts
The Visual Effects Society Bay Area Section in collaboration with Ex’pression College were proud to present “A Day of Inception” with Paul Franklin at Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville. Franklin recently received an Academy Award at the 83rd Annual Oscars for his work as VFX Supervisor on Inception. He also visited Ex’pression to sign our Wall of Fame.
Two videos shot by our Motion Graphic Design students placed in the top ten winning entries. The compitition required the entries to create a 60 second or less video about Silk, a soymilk product.

As a part of our launch of the new Digital Filmmaking program, award-winning lighting designer, Bill Holshevnikoff, will hold a 6-hour workshop teaching simple, powerful techniques to use creative lighting in the studio and on-location. Congrats to our grad Tyler Cote and his colleagues from Flash Film Works for their work on the HBO miniseries The Pacific! They accepted an award for Outstanding Achievement in a Broadcast Program/Commercial at the 9th Annual VES Awards!
