Ex’pression College and Live 105 were happy to host an Ex’pression Session last week with the East Bay’s own Rancid. The band played an acoustic set of 11 songs that included music from their new release, Let the Dominoes Fall, their first in six years. The band slipped out of Ex’pression’s Meyer Hall just in time for sound check at Oracle Arena for their sold out show with Rise Against. The intimate show with veteran punk rockers included Ex’pression students and staff and a couple hundred lucky Live 105 ticket winners.
The show was produced by Hani Gadallah’s live sound class, while the audio was mixed by Sound Arts Director John Scanlon. The show will be available soon on Live 105’s radio station and online.
Ex’pression Sessions are the collaboration of Live 105 and Ex’pression College. Previous sessions include up close events with Angels & Airwaves, Garbage, and Silversun Pickups. Stay tuned for more later in the year.
