NSSN Local Band Workshop

Ex’pression College is partnering with Live 105 to find the opening band for Not So Silent Night at .

If you think your band is good enough to open for the Killers, Death Cab for Cutie and Franz Ferdinand, then you need to be at Ex’pression College on Wednesday, November 12th at 6:30 p.m. for a very special Industry Day moderated by Soundcheck Music Director Aaron Axelson. The panel will include guests who manage and book bands. They are prepared to give insider tips for how to promote your band. Bring your demo for submission at Industry Day – the winner gets to open this year’s NSSN.

Special Guest panelists will include:

Goldenvoice (Promoter agency: book the Coachella festival along with local SF venues like the Warfield and the Grand Ballroom. David is the former manager of Bay Area faves Primus, too)

Bottom of the Hill (Owner/manger of San Francisco’s legendary music venue, where bands like Oasis, Mars Volta, Mgmt, etc, all made their SF live debut)

– SAM Management (Management firm based in Los Angeles and oversee artists like Beck, Beastie Boys, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone age)

Absolutely Kosher Records (Founder/manager of this long–running and popular independent East Bay record label)

Warner Brothers (Bay Area local promotion record rep. and works with acts like Linkin Park, White Stripes, Jack’s Mannequin and Metallica)

Terrorbird (Independent promotion company that nationally works and promotes new bands to college and commercial radio)

Artist (One of San Francisco’s most acclaimed local musicians and architect of 6 albums on the Barsuk Record label, which is the same label for Death Cab For Cutie, Nada Surf, etc. John also owns and produces music at his own recording studio in the Mission Tiny Telephone studios)
