PJ Bloom, Music Supervisor / Soundtrack Producer
Born and raised in Los Angeles, PJ Bloom is a music school graduate and third generation Entertainment Industry professional (father is an Emmy nominated screenwriter, grandfather was a talent manager). He has been involved with Film & Television Music and Soundtracks since the early 90s, including stints at Columbia Records, Arista Records and the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (NARAS).
PJ Bloom has been Music Supervising, Coordinating and Consulting for well over a decade, creating and producing Soundtracks for major studio features, independent films, network and cable television, video games, ads and amusement parks. His productive career has paired him with such prolific filmmakers and television producers as Michael Mann, John Frankenheimer, Steven Bochco, Mike Nichols and Ridley Scott, among many others. His recent projects include CBS powerhouse CSI: Miami, FXs Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning television series Nip/Tuck and The Shield, Sony Pictures Running With Scissors starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Annette Bening, and Picturehouses The Notorious Bettie Page starring Gretchen Mol and Lily Taylor.
PJ is a Music Consultant for HBO Films, a position hes held since 1998, overseeing major successes like Angels In America, The Life & Death of Peter Sellers, American Splendor and Maria Full Of Grace. PJ also consults for Disneyland Theme Parks for their music driven rides and attractions.
In addition to his production work, PJ hosts a weekly radio show, promotes and DJs selected clubs, venues and events throughout the year, speaks regularly around the country (and the world) on the subject of Music in Film & Television and has written articles and reviews for several national and international music publications.

Dave Hampton, Audio Engineer / Designer / Technician and
Lisa R. Chamblee-Hampton, Audio Engineer / Producer
For over 25 years, Dave Hampton has contributed to the success of many top artists like Baby Face, Herbie Hancock and Prince. Through his company MATK Corp, he specializes in dedicated support services for all entertainment related activities. Whether its consulting on a million dollar recording facility or a personal home recording room, album project or live tour, Hamptons reputation is one of providing solutions and getting the job done. Trust and personal service are the core elements of his success.
Recent positions Dave has held include Technical Director for Prince at Paisley Park Studios in Minneapolis (3 years) and Hancock Music (10+years) (Herbie Hancock) in Los Angeles. In addition, he has engineered and mixed projects like national spots for BOSE, and live concerts for HBO. He currently works with many companies as an industry consultant and special advisor.
Dave has continued to give back by creating the From Home to Studio Conference. This gathering has panel discussions and workshops that bring content builders from every facet of Entertainment together. Engineers and producers from radio, television, film, video gaming, etc. make themselves available for conference attendees to interface with and ask questions. Super session workshops help to further educate and enlighten the participants on established and new engineering methods. Dave points out, You are only as strong as your relationships. Its our responsibility as an engineering community to actively steer the direction of how we are perceived and accessed as creative professionals.
Lisa Chamblee-Hampton is one of musics up and coming 5-time Grammy Award nominated engineers. Fearless and daring,
she takes any music or video project on with great enthusiasm and energy.
Being the first black female to own her own studio in Minneapolis and being coordinator and instructor of a school were only small hurdles compared to Lisas next challenge. She was tapped to engineer at the historic Paisley Park Studio. While there she worked with artists such as: Prince, Herbie Hancock, Larry Graham, Michael Brecker, Michael Bland, Sonny T, Kirk Johnson, Wallace Roney, Geri Allen, and Matthew Garrison, just to name a few.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Lisa has been busy working with George Duke recording music for Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Eric Benet, and Marilyn Scott. She has recorded great musicians like Patrice Rushen, Teddy Campbell, Michael Bearden, Nathan East, Vinny Colaiuta, Ray Fuller, and Lenny Castro.

Tamir is a Game Designer who in past lives has been a game programmer as well as Valedictorian at Full Sail in 2005. He has been involved in the industry for more than 5 years and is recognizable to many due to his enthusiastic networking, not to mention his always-colorful hair. He is often spotted at many different events and schools, lending his assistance and experience to current students in their attempts to enter the industry. In addition to his duties as a designer, Tamir has been consistently speaking at conventions and universities on Business Communications, how to meet people, and how to get a job in the Game Industry. His has quickly become a known name and face in this industry and he has built a vast network of peers at all levels of experience. He has been interviewed by EGM, IGN, and was featured in Paid to Play: An Insiders Guide to Video Game Careers.
Tamir will be available to look at work and give one-on-one advice from 11am-12 pm (Directly following his presentation) in the South-Wing Oval - rm 510.

Greg Maloney, Composite Supervisor
Industrial Light & Magic
Greg Maloney joined Industrial Light & Magic in 1989 as a member of the optical departments lineup team. In 1991 Maloney helped in the creation of the digital department and began working in that division as a technical assistant. He later advanced to the position of compositor. In 1993 the digital and computer graphics areas merged, leading Maloney to his next role as a compositor in the new computer graphics department. Currently Maloney works as a Composite Supervisor in Computer Graphics. Maloney came to ILM with an extensive background in still photography. He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley.

Michael Leifer is a UCLA Cultural Anthropologist with a phat rolodex, who has been consulting with major brands for over 7+ years translating insight into successful alternative marketing action platforms.
Michael became the VP of Marketing for the Brentwood Bla Bla, and In Beverly Hills, which were reader-written Magazines in some of the most affluent zip codes in the United States, which celebritized the residents of Beverly Hills, Brentwood and Malibu. He also helped to facilitate the sale of the publications to American Express in 1991.
He then Produced many live online chat shows for IXL for: Warner Bros., Real Hollywood, Aint It Cool News, The Globe, WebMD, the Warehouse and Yahoo!
Concurrently, he Founded and was Executive Director of Erin Brockovitchs Cancer411.org, a Non-Profit dedicated to helping cancer patients and their families to get the information that they need partnering with: the US National Cancer Institute, Healthology, Oncology.com, NexCura and Blue-chip Pharmaceutical Companies.
Michael then Founded and was President of C3Live, a webcasting and syndication company where he produced A-list Celebrity events for Microsoft and Yahoo! with many Fortune 500 sponsors including: RedBull, Heneiken, Absolut, Diesel and many others.
In 2000, Michael formed guerilla PR, Inc. a Cultural Anthropology Insight and Alternative Marketing Company. He has worked directly with many Fortune 500 brands and agencies including: Nestle, Sony, Napster, Coke, Microsoft, Atari, and many others.
