Betsy Kopmar, Motion Graphic Design Course Director at Ex’pression College, has been selected to show her unique, free-form, motion and music-based piece at Siggraph 2009 in New Orleans. 2009 is the first year the prestigious computer animation festival will dedicate a section to Visual Music.
The animation is a loose and abstract creation, inspired by a 17th Century Japanese screen painting by Kano Tanyu, “Night Fishing with Cormorants,” and the novel of Akira Yoshimura, “Shipwrecks.”
If you cannot make it out to New Orleans for the conference and exhibition, you may view her entry here. “Night Fishing with Cormorants”
Betsy teaches these courses at Ex’pression College: Motion Graphics 1 and 3D for Designers.
