Expression Adds Two Digidesign ICON Consoles for Both Audio Post Production and Music Recording

EMERYVILLE, CA – APRIL 23, 2007 – Expression College for Digital Arts, an accredited college that prepares students for careers in the digital arts and entertainment industries, today announces their distinction as an Apple Authorized Training Center for Pro Applications and a Digidesign Certified Training Location for Pro Tools. With these two new industry certificate training programs, Expression College now offers students one of the most comprehensive, industry-authorized curricula in music recording and audio post production.  In order to continue to provide the latest technology for students to train on, Expression also purchased two Digidesign ICON integrated consoles for both audio post production and music recording.

The Apple and Digidesign certificates are recognized at all levels of the media industry as the highest quality training available.  Expression College’s accelerated curriculum, gives students the opportunity to earn the certificates with hands-on learning from professionals that are certified by Apple and Digidesign and to be trained on professional equipment in a full-service digital media production facility.

As an Apple Authorized Training Center for Pro Applications, Expression College offers certification for students in Logic Pro.  In the near future, Expression will look to add other products from Apple’s line of production software for the certification including Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Shake, and Motion.  Students take away an Apple certified textbook, a certificate of completion, and above all, a wealth of knowledge on the latest professional post production technologies used in the industry.

As a Digidesign Certified Training Location, Expression College offers the highest quality training in Pro Tools, which is renowned as the industry-standard platform for digital recording, MIDI sequencing, editing, signal processing, and surround mixing. Pro Tools is used extensively by artists, independents, and professionals in the music, film, video, multimedia, and radio broadcast industries.

Expression added two new Digidesign ICON integrated consoles to the wealth of technology already on campus.  The 48 channel D-Control system allows Expression to certify students as Pro Tools operators.  Expression is also building a new studio and lecture hall that will house a new 24 channel D-Command console so that lectures and labs can be taught in a studio environment. Both consoles are widely used in the industry today for both Audio Post Production and Music Recording.
