FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(GDC 2007 – BOOTH 123) SAN FRANCISCO, CA – MARCH 7, 2007 – Expression College for Digital Arts, an accredited college that prepares students for careers in the digital arts and entertainment industries, announced a number of recent graduate and internship placements for game art, design and audio students. Expression’s graduate employment batting average exceeds all state and federal guidelines (typical colleges are significantly lower), and says volumes about what a degree from Expression means to all levels of game creation including environmental modeling, character animation, motion capture and texture development, scripting, programming, collision detection, engine manipulation, physics modeling, sound effects, adaptive audio design and asset management and implementation.

Expression utilizes a professional accelerated program and students live and learn in the culture of digital arts for approximately 2.5 years. Each class is limited to a small number of students to insure excellent hands-on learning and the student-to-computer ratio is one-to-one. Students are taught by and work with the best practitioners and equipment that the industry can offer. Expression’s close ties to top industry professionals provide students with real-world client projects, mentorship and internship opportunities and a top-rated career development track that has resulted in an exceptionally high placement rate for graduates.

“Our success is measured by the quality and quantity of placements for both current and graduate students with the elite of the game and audio industries,” said Spencer Nilsen, president and creative director, Expression College for Digital Arts.  “We’ve continued to improve on our placement percentage year over year and are thrilled that some of the leading designers, developers and artists in the industry bear the badge of Ex’pression and continue to hire and work with Expression students and graduates.”

“We offer one of the most comprehensive gaming curriculums in the country and with that are able to connect our local and national industry partners with the next wave of committed and talented young professionals,” added Paul Lipson, dean of education, Expression College for Digital Arts.
