Expression College Sound Arts Students Land Positions With Industrys Hottest Companies
Expression College for Digital Arts, among the premier schools of its kind in the United States, will graduate its 940th student next month. The Sound Arts program’s graduate employment batting average exceeds all state and federal guidelines (typical colleges are significantly lower), and says volumes about what a degree in Sound Arts from Expression means to music recording, engineering, audio post-production for film and television, video games and toys, live sound for theater and concerts, MIDI production, studio management and DVD authoring, and more.
Expressions accelerated program allows students live and learn in the culture of Digital Media for approximately 2.5 years. Each class is limited to a small number of students to insure excellent learning. Expressions Sound Arts labs have a student teacher ration of 6 to 1. In addition to comprehensive training in the technology and practices of professional audio, students benefit instructors with longtime industry experience who understand the requirements of the marketplace.
“We recognize our student’s need for a transition from an academic setting into a professional working environment, and we are dedicated to fully preparing each student for the challenge ahead by giving them access to our career development program before and long-after graduation,” said Kirk Engel, CEO, Expression College for Digital Arts.
As our industry continues to evolve and expand there will be companies like Electronic Arts, Media City Sound, Sonic Solutions and others that will require well-educated and highly competitive graduates to fill these positions, added Shiloh Hobel, director of Industry Relations and Career Development, Expression College for Digital Arts.
