In partnership with KFOG, we are proud to welcome GIVERS to the next Ex’pression Session.

Straight out of Lafayette, Louisiana, and staying true to the Cajun and zydeco folk forms that influenced them, GIVERS have a unique rhythmic vibe layered with unsuspecting soft synths and subtle vocal harmonies. Formed in 2005 around the talents of Kirby Campbell (drums/samples/vocals), Taylor Guarisco (guitar/vocals), Tif Lamson (vocals/percussion/ukulele), Josh Leblanc (bass), and William Henderson (synths/samples/vocals), their music is upbeat and they have been compared to bands like Vampire Weekend, Dirty Projectors, and Mates of State. Their full-length album In Light (Glassnote Records) was released in 2011. Having recently performed at SXSW, GIVERS will also take the stage at Coachella and New Orleans Jazz Fest, before heading to Europe this summer on tour.
