Summer Music Conference invites Sound Arts Director John Scanlon and Creative Director Spencer Nilsen to speak on panels September 27th – October 1st.
John Scanlon will be speaking on a panel covering Industry Standards on Friday September 29th at 12pm and Spencer Nilsen will be moderating a panel on licensing music for film, video games and phones on Thursday September 28th @ 3pm.
The SMC is the first conference and technology expo of its kind in San Francisco with workshops, technology and an outdoor music festival. The workshops and panels will cover a variety of topics - music technology, digital distribution, video game licensing, content delivery and social activism.
The SMC Outdoor festival will take place on many stages downtown south of market with performances from Ferry Corsten, Miguel Migs, Doc Martin, Green Velvet, Julius Papp and others.
